Trailer for LEGO Aquaman DLC arrives along with the expansion

Take to the high seas in the first of two Aquaman expansions for LEGO DC Super Villains. Part one of the planned DLC epic is available now.

From screen to game

That’s Aquaman himself there of course, actor Jason Momoa. As you can imagine, he’s pretty stoked to find himself not only playing a major superhero, but also being made into a LEGO. And now he’s a video game too, thanks to Traveller’s Tales latest, LEGO DC Super Villains.

The game sports some kind of unusual post-launch downloadable content, in the form of packs that have nothing to do with the original release. Instead of starring villains, the DLC for the game stars Momoa’s Aquaman.

Playable across a pair of two content packs, gamers will get to play through the story of the film. That includes Mera, Orm, and one of the coolest villains in the DCU (IMO) Black Manta.

The first pack is available to add onto your copy of the game right now if you’re a season pass holder. If you’re not, you’ll have to wait a little over a month, for the launch of both pack 1 and 2 for a’la carte buyers. That’s set for January the 8th.

In all, the Aquaman collection adds 6 levels and 4 character packs to the base game. If you pick up the pass, you’ll get both for $14.99 USD.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
