3DS’s End of the Year Season Begins With This Week’s Nintendo Download

Chibi-Robo, 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and The Legend of Legacy highlight.

The new Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash releases on October 9^th, and while it’s not a proper successor to the Gamecube adventure, it looks to be a fun title in its own right- plus, who can resist a Chibi-Robo amiibo?  The amiibo comes bundled in with the $39.99 version ($34.99 with Amazon Prime, $32 with Best Buy’s Gamers’ Club), and the game otherwise will run you a discounted $29.99.

Atlus is releasing The Legend of Legacy on October 13^th, an RPG with seven characters each with their own opening.  Give the demo a shot and have your progress carry over when you pick up the game itself.  I enjoyed my hands on greatly, and am in love with the frog prince Filmia.  Like Bravely Default, the North American version of The Legend of Legacy comes with several balancing and mechanic tweaks to hopefully make for a stronger package.

Hoping to get my hands on both, but you might be more interested in the 3DS remaster of classic Sonic the Hedgehog 2, or Pocky & Rocky with Becky on Wii U’s Virtual Console.

The Nintendo eShop is a cash-based service that features a wide variety of content, including new and classic games, applications and demos. Users can add money to their account balances by using a credit card or purchasing a Nintendo eShop Card at a retail store and entering the code from the card. All funds from one card must be loaded in the Nintendo eShop on either Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, but can be used in either Nintendo eShop if the systems are linked to a single Nintendo Network account.
