SDCC ’26: Conan, Blade Runner, the new Black Star and more featured at Titan Comics

Titan Comics has released its lineup for Comic Con, and it’s set to include both big names and fresh IP’s alike.

Titan of comics

One of the biggest independent labels in the comics market, Titan Comics is setting up to have a big Comic Con this week. The publisher will have a series of big name properties on hand, which’ll factor into both signings and exclusives. In addition to the likes of Conan and Blade Runner though, there’s also Black Star.

A notable new title in a few ways, Black Star spins a Gothic horror tale, and will actually debut at the convention. It’s also co-written by a fan-favorite actress, in Kristin Kreuk. That’s right, the same Kreuk who starred as Lana Lane in Smallville is now in the industry that her show spun out of.

As for the rest of the writing team, she’s joined by both Peter Mooney and screenwriter Eric Putzer. And on the artwork side, readers can look for the work of Joe Bocardo to feature. You might know him from the likes of Nightwalkers and The Hexiles.

Fans will be able to pick up a copy of Issue #1 at the Titan Entertainment booth, which will be #5537. As mentioned, the book is debuting at the con, and those issues will come complete with an exclusive cover. That was created by The Department of Truth‘s Martin Simmonds.

Right along with the exclusive cover too, Black Star will have a panel for fans to check out. Kreuk, Mooney, and Putzer will all be in attendance for that, which will be held this Friday at 10:30am in Room 24ABC.

The trio will actually be signing copies as well, though not in the same space as the panel. Instead, they’ll move to the center’s Second floor Sails Pavilion, AA03. Look for that session to start after a brief delay, at 12pm.

As mentioned though, there’s much more to check out when it comes to Titan Comics.

From San Diego to Hyborea

You might not be aware, but Titan Comics has some big names in its portfolio. Those include the mighty Conan, as well as cult classic IP Blade Runner. Both have had more than a few releases from the company, spanning multiple series’. In the case of Conan too, the Hyborean barbarian is setting up to have a big showing.

Conan fans can look for multiple exclusive covers to hit the Titan Entertainment booth. Those will include “Conan the Barbarian #33 by Dan Panosian, Conan & Dragonero #1 by Roberto de la Torre, The Savage Sword of Conan #15 by Alex Horley, and The Savage Sword of Conan: Reforged #5 by Ernie Chan.” But wait, there’s more, as there’s a crossover to talk about too.

We’re thinking that’s got to be the first of its kind. After all, when was the last time that you heard of Robert E. Howard’s famed character starring in a comic book crossover? Yeah, we can’t think of anything either, at least nothing that doesn’t involve modern day superheroes. Well, get ready for Conan The Barbarian: Tides Of The Tyrant-King.

If you’re as anxious as we are to see what this tale is all about, then you’ll be happy to know there’s a panel for it. That’ll be helmed by writer Jim Zub and “Heroic Signatures” editor Chris Butera. The pair will discuss the event itself, and also intro the full creative team behind the upcoming Kull comic. How’s that for a double-dose of the savage world?

Aside from all of the above, there’s also the aforementioned Blade Runner. Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus will be the focal point of another panel, with Alcon Director of Publishing Jeff Conner. Want more? Well, there’s a massive list of variant covers that’ll all be available at the booth (#5537), plus a full spread of additional panels and signings too.
