Mixtape harkens back to a simpler time in the Nintendo Download

Reveling in a coming of age tale is Mixtape, which lands along with a host of additional releases in the Nintendo Download.

Remember actually making a Mixtape?

Maybe we’re dating ourselves with that one, but making your own tapes was a pretty big part of teen culture in decades past. And from what we see in the press release, it seems like that’s the era that the Switch 2’s Mixtape plays off of.

Billed as an “ode to the golden age” Annapurna Interactive and Beethoven & Dinosaur’s newest centers on a trio of friends. There’s no big globe-trotting adventure here though (though it does look like there’s some weirdness happening). Instead, players can more look to expect first kisses and last dances from Mixtape. And from the looks of it, all of that will be wrapped up in a pretty neat visual style.

Also this week, classic FPS Blood returns in the form of Blood: Refreshed Supply – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. As you can tell from the name, that new edition will bring the iconic horror title to the Switch 2. So if you loved Caleb’s adventures from back int he day, you might want to check it out.

Right there along side that title will be a host of additional releases as well. And while there don’t look to be any big names in the mix, there’s a ton to pick from. While we’re mentioning “big names” though, don’t forget that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is up for pre-order. That one made the jump from Xbox to the PS5, and is now completing the circuit, and coming to the Switch 2. Fans can look for it in just a few days, on May 12th.
