RoboCop: Rogue City’s Unfinished Business DLC launching July 17th

Return to Old Detroit, specifically a new OCP mega-building, this summer for RoboCop: Rogue City’s Unfinished Business.

Thank you for your cooperation

One of the best surprises in recent years, Teyon and publisher NACON’s RoboCop: Rogue City was a gem of an FPS. Strictly adhering to the universe it was based on, the first-person shooter served up an action-packed adventure that took place between RoboCop 2 and 3. But Murphy isn’t done quite yet.

Revealed a short time ago, Robo will be back on the beat this summer, for Unfinished Business. NACON calls the followup a “standalone experience” to the original game, and in it, RoboCop will find himself in OmniTower. A new high-rise meant to bring a better lifestyle to the citizens of Detroit, OmniTower didn’t last long.

When RoboCop enters its halls, he’ll find that it’s become home to a hostile force of highly-armed mercenaries. Naturally, it’ll be up to the town’s number one cyber-cop to stop them, who’s once again voiced by the original Robo-actor Peter Weller. The setting isn’t all that’s new though, as Unfinished Business looks to be downright chunky.

The new adventure will have new weapons (including the Cryo Cannon), loads of fresh foes to battle and even a playable Officer Alex Murphy via some flashback segments. And yes, this is the first time that he’s set to see action in a video game.

After triumphing over Detroit’s gangs and the “New Guy in Town”, peace for RoboCop and the citizens of Old Detroit is short-lived, and crime once again invades the streets. In the midst of this chaos, a spark of hope emerges from OCP’s new project: the OmniTower, a massive housing complex intended to give the people of Old Detroit a better life.

But when a group of highly trained mercenaries armed with cutting-edge weapons takes control of the building after attacking the police station, RoboCop must take action to put a stop to their plans and uphold the law. And so begins an explosive ascent through the OmniTower, now the deadly stronghold of troops led by a mysterious leader who seems to share a close link with RoboCop’s past…
