Fatal Fury flips the script, will get Street Fighter crossover with Ken and Chun-Li

Terry Bogard hit Street Fighter 6 this week, but there’s more SNK/Capcom madness to come, in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

Shoryuken!

If you’re a fighting game fan, then chances are that you know all about the Street Fighter 6/Fatal Fury crossover. The first part of that landed this week for Capcom’s brawler, as Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard has arrived in Metro City to cause a little havoc. But as you can see above, that’s just the first half of what’ll be a two-game crossover.

Launching in 2025, will be part two, with Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. That’s the next installment of that storied franchise, and the first since 1999’s Mark of the Wolves. Yes, 1999. While we haven’t seen a ton on it just yet, City of the Wolves is so-far looking great, bringing a mix of new and classic heroes and villains. And in among those, at least as far as DLC goes, will be a few familiar faces from the world of Street Fighter.

Just revealed, SNK’s upcoming fighter will be welcoming in a pair of fighting game legends with Ken Masters and Chun-Li.

“For decades, SNK has had deep respect for Capcom, in both genuine admiration and a bit of friendly rivalry,” said FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Producer Yasuyuki Oda. “It’s an honor to bring the universes of FATAL FURY and Street Fighter together once again. This collaboration is a reflection of that bond, and we hope players share our excitement.”

SNK press release

As you can see from the trailer, there isn’t any real footage of either Ken or Chun-Li in action just yet. Still, you can get a little bit of a peek at how the two will look, and while they’re in what seems to be new costumes, they’re both looking in line with how fans have come to know and love ’em.

Again both characters will be of the downloadable variety, so don’t expect to see them in the base game. You’ll need to buy both of them separately, and they’re not alone. SNK has also revealed the post-launch DLC roadmap for the game, which includes both aforementioned Street Fighters, plus three more mystery guests…

  • DLC Character 1 (Scheduled for: Summer 2025)
  • DLC Character: KEN (Scheduled for: Summer 2025)
  • DLC Character 3 (Scheduled for: Fall 2025)
  • DLC Character: CHUN-LI (Scheduled for: Winter 2025)
  • DLC Character 5 (Scheduled for: Early 2026)

Ready to brawl? Hang on, because Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves arrives for consoles and the PC on April 24th, 2025.
