Alien: Rogue Incursion bringing action-packed terror to VR this December

Survios’ Alien: Rogue Incursion is looking pretty fantastic, in a series of three new trailers for the year-end VR release.

In your living room, people can hear you scream

We first told you all about Alien: Rogue Incursion a few weeks ago. From developer Survios, the game brings the classic Alien property to virtual reality for the first time, but if you’re thinking it might be for a combat-free, hide and seek experience where you have to avoid the title monsters, think again.

Alien: Rogue Incursion goes the exact other direction, sinking players into what looks to be an all-out action affair, complete with some of the IP’s most famed weapons. Fans will take on the role of Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks, who’s gone rogue (hence the name, we assume) and seems to have taken in unauthorized trip to a lost colony. Once there… well you can fill in the blanks as to what happened to everybody.

Hendricks will be voiced by Emmy Award winning actress Andia Winslow for the game, and we got a glimpse of her character for the first time today. That’s not all though, as the trio of new trailers also gives would-be players an exploration of the title’s weapons and gadgets, plus a terrifying look at what seems to be a frantic combat experience.

As mentioned above, Alien: Rogue Incursion doesn’t just have some new-look videos, but it’s also brandishing a release date. Survios has dated the digital title for December 19th, 2024, and announced that it’ll be appearing on PlayStation VR2, PCVR via Steam, and Meta Quest 3.

Pre-orders are open right now, for both Standard and Deluxe editions, with the latter offering “Blue Camo weapon and armor skins, with further details to come”, according to the developer. Pre-ordering either though, will net you another bonus, in the form of “a cosmetic weapon and armor skin inspired by Alien: Romulus“. Nice and timely, that.
