SNK’s Terry Bogard joins Capcom fighter Street Fighter 6 this fall

Revealed at EVO this past weekend, Fatal Fury’s own Terry Bogard is coming up for Street Fighter 6 some time this fall.

Hungry like the Wolf

On the whole, Street Fighter isn’t really known for crossover characters. Unless you’re talking about a specific game that brings together two universes, Capcom’s premier fighting game series stays fairly encapsulated, showcasing it’s own roster of World Warriors, and nothing more.

In fact, according to the publisher, this piece of news today represents a pretty big marker, as it contains the first crossover fighter ever for the brand. And in that case, it’s only fitting that the fighter in question is SNK’s Terry Bogard. A legendary combatant from the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters series’, Bogard is as iconic as SNK characters get.

As as of this fall, you’ll be able to add him to the roster of SF6 for a little inter-company skull-cracking.

Terry will be knuckling up against all comers in Street Fighter 6, and will be featured in all three of the game’s modes. Yep, like other downloadable-content characters (including the just released M.Bison), players will be able to find him in World Tour, Fighting Ground, and Battle Hub modes. As for ho you’ll get him, Terry Bogard will be included in the the Year 2 Character Pass or Year 2 Ultimate Pass. So if you have either of those, then you’re already ready to bring the Hungry Wolf into your game.

Following on the heels of Bison, Terry’s release this fall represents the second character in the brand new season, with Mai Shiranui and Elena next up. And yes, if you’re wondering, that does in fact make Mai (also hailing from Fatal Fury) the second Street Fighter guest character in history.
