Zack Snyder headed to London’s Forbidden Planet to talk comics, Rebel Moon, and more

One of the biggest film directors of the modern age, Zack Snyder visited with the legendary Forbidden Planet this week for a little chat.

Man of Film

If you’re any fan of pop culture, you know the name Zack Snyder. The director has been around for a while at this point, and has made both some of the most popular and most controversial comic book-centric films… maybe ever. Those include Watchmen, Man of Steel, 300, and more, and now he’s back with part two of his original sci-fi property, Rebel Moon.

To get into that, and also to sign some copies of his Rebel Moon tie-in book, Snyder traveled to Forbidden Planet in London. Now, you might not know that name as readily as Snyder’s, but you should. Forbidden Planet is a legendary comics and book store with shops in London and NYC, and has been around for an impressive 45 years. It’s also one of our very favorite places here at BG, so yeah we’re a big biased.

But even if you’re not, we dare you to find a place that’d be better to dig in and talk a little pop culture.

“We’re so pleased to host Zack at Forbidden Planet, meeting with his fans and signing the books he created with Titan Books & Titan Comics. Zack is an extraordinary and consummately-visual filmmaker. He creates the greatest contemporary mythology in the business, while always honouring his hardcore comics-fan roots. Welcome home, Zack!”

Forbidden Planet co-owners Vivian Cheung & Nick Landau

Parts one and two of Rebel Moon are up right now on Netflix. As for Forbidden Planet, the London store is located at 179 Shaftesbury Avenue, and the Manhattan location is at 832 Broadway.
