Hot Toys’ deadly new Star Wars droid gets an unboxing from Sideshow

AS relatively new original Star Wars character from Marvel Comics’ run with the property, Triple-Zero is on the way from Hot Toys.

Not very nice

Star Wars fans who’ve been reading Marvel’s various comic series’ based on the sci-fi/fantasy universe probably know the dark silver 0-0-0 well. A former protocol droid, the so-called Triple-Zero became a tool of villainy and torture, serving under the oft Imperial-aligned archeologist Doctor Aphra.

One half of an evil duo, with his weapon laden partner BT-1 (also available for pre-order now), Triple-Zero became a mainstay for some time in the comics. Now this red-eyed menace is coming to toy shelves thanks to Hot Toys, with a figure that’s set to ship quite soon.

As such, the toy-maker’s retailing partner Sideshow has issued a brand new unboxing of him, detailing what fans will find in the box when they crack this metallic monster open.

Inspired by his appearance in Star Wars comics, the 0-0-0 1/6 Scale Figure by Hot Toys features metal diecast elements with realistic wires and a metallic black titanium paint finish. His red LED light-up eyes give a menacing appearance and his 26 points of articulation allow for a wide variety of exciting poses. This highly detailed figure also comes with interchangeable hands, including tool hands and lightning effect hands.

Grow your dark side collection with the 0-0-0 1/6 Scale Figure by Hot Toys. Available to pre-order now from Sideshow.

Sideshow Toys press release

Triple-Zero is currently sold out via Sideshow, but the waitlist is open. If you sign up for that, there’s a chance that someone might cancel and you’ll be able to grab a 0-0-0 for yourself. He’s priced in at $285 USD, and will be shipping some time from May through September of this year.
