April serves up not just free PC games for Prime Gaming subscribers, but also an Xbox title

April’s Prime Gaming surprises again, with not just some big (and small) freebies, but also the first Xbox game with Fallout 76.

Springtime goodies

The first month of quarter two here in 2024 sees a decent allotment of PC gaming freebies land for those who are a part of Amazon’s Prime Gaming service. Offerings range from premium stuff like Chivalry 2 and Fallout 76, to pinball title Demon’s Tilt and the great-looking Lovecraftian Vlad Circus.

So yeah, there are some slick games up for the grabbing, and speed out across varied genres. Of big time note too, is that Fallout 76 is up for not just PC, but Xbox as well. We’re pretty sure that this is the first time that we’ve seen something like that from Prime Gaming, and providing it’s not a one-off, it might bode well for the future. A monthly slate of Prime offerings that covers both PC and consoles would be, after all, pretty darn cool.

April’s Prime Gaming collection is available for subscribers in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. As usual (under PG’s new system) free games are staggered throughout the month. Scroll down to check out the full list, as well as the dates of availability.

April’s Luna games

While we’re here too, don’t forget the Luna offerings for the month. While the above are free games in the traditional sense, Prime Gaming subscribers also get to play a rotating collection of streaming titles via Luna. That, if you don’t know, is Amazon’s game-streaming service, playable via any compatible device.

This moth’s set includes some pretty big names, but also remember that the recent deal with GOG will be bringing some of that storefronts titles to the service some time soon.

This month includes:

  • Earthworm Jim 2
  • Smurfs Kart
  • Airhead
  • Sail Forth
  • Metronomicon

Players will also have full access to:

  • Fortnite Battle Royale
  • LEGO Fortnite
  • Rocket Racing
  • Fortnite Festival
  • Trackmania

In case you missed it, Amazon Luna is soon teaming up with GOG and game developers to bring a selection of GOG’s games to Luna. Prime members and Luna+ subscribers will have access to the library of GOG games they currently own, and can purchase additional GOG games, including PC classics such as Stardew Valley, popular AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077The Witcher series and more, and play them on any device Luna is available on.
