Pirates of the Caribbean’s Captain Jack arriving in three different editions from Hot Toys

The masters of collector movie-figures are back at it, as Hot Toys takes the wraps off of a trio of Captain Jack Sparrow figures.

But you have heard of me

Now, to be fair, this announcement isn’t so much for three radically different collector figures, as it is for one figure that has two variations, and all of them reflect the character’s appearance in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales.

As you’ll see though, those variants are pretty incredible on their own, so we’re just gonna kind of roll with this. Oh, and before we start looking at the individual offerings, all of ’em are up for pre-order now via Hot Toys’ retail partner Sideshow, and all are looking at an October ’24 through March ’25 launch window.

Cap’t Jack

Before we get into the special editions, there’s the base Captain Jack Sparrow figure to discuss. And as movie-adaptations go, he’s certainly no slouch. Not that you’d have expected anything less from a company like Hot Toys, but he’s notably loaded with accessories and certainly does have that trademark Hot Toys level of detailing.

Officially dubbed the “Collector Edition”, this standard version of the not-so good captain is priced in at $290 USD.

The Jack Sparrow 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure features a stunning hand-painted headsculpt with a screen-accurate likeness of the character. His intricate hair includes a mix of fabric hair with sculpted dreadlocks and braids, plus hair accessories. The figure comes with two portraits, featuring Jack’s signature smirk and a serious expression. Both portraits utilize Hot Toys’ innovative rolling eyeball function, which allows collectors to create more nuanced expressions.

The incredibly detailed tailored fabric costume includes a long coat, a shirt, a patterned vest, and a striped scarf, plus genuine leather belts and long boots. The captain is festooned with a plethora of accessories including a saber, flintlock pistols, the Black Pearl in a clear bottle, an LED-lighted lantern, a ship steering wheel with real ropes, plus much more!

Jack Sparrow: Deluxe Version

Basically, take the above version of the figure and add in what looks to be an absolutely awesome base, and you have the Deluxe Version. Naturally there’s a difference in price, as this box will cost you $330 USD, but that base is highly tempting, even so.

The Jack Sparrow (Deluxe Version) 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure comes with all of the above plus an elaborate environmental diorama base meticulously crafted to resemble a segment of the Black Pearl with a translucent water effect, along with an openable treasure chest for an immersive display.

Jask Sparrow: Artisan Edition Deluxe Version

Still with us? Okay cool, because we’ve made it all the way to the big daddy of Captain Jack’s; the Artisan Edition Deluxe Version. Not only is the name a mouthful, but this super-limited edition figure is pretty clearly the top of the heap when it comes to adding this Pirate of the Caribbean to your own collection.

A DX Series Artisan Edition, Captain Jack Sparrow is limited to just 4000 figures and is priced in at $495 USD. So what’s he loaded with that makes that price bump so large? Well, from the sounds of it, just figure that everything that’s fudged a little in the above editions will get a realism boost.

His dreadlocks are woven and “rooted wool hair”, his ship’s wheel (the base) has real ropes, etc. It also seems like there’s more accessories to be included, though the press release is a little fuzzy on what those might be.

The captain’s signature dreadlocked hairstyle has been painstakingly recreated with rooted wool hair intricately woven for a more lifelike appearance. The figure features a hand-painted headsculpt with a swap-out portrait. Both portraits utilize Hot Toys’ rolling eyeball design, which allows collectors to adjust the figure’s gaze.

Jack’s immensely detailed fabric costume includes genuine leather belts and boots, plus a long coat, a shirt, a scarf, and a patterned vest. Accessories include a saber, flintlock pistols, the Black Pearl in a clear bottle, an LED-lighted lantern, a ship steering wheel with real ropes, plus much more!

The Jack Sparrow (Artisan Edition Deluxe Version) 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure also comes with an immersive display base featuring a segment of the Black Pearl with a translucent water effect and an openable treasure chest.
