NeocoreGames’ action-RPG Warhammer 40k: Inquisitor – Martyr might be winding down, but the ride’s not over just yet.
Not too long ago, we told you about the Seasonal Journey, a new mode of play for NeocoreGames’ massive action-RPG, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr. Via that new mode, players can dig into any of the past (free) seasons that the game has offered up. That effectively opens up new adventures for those who might’ve missed them, and allows the game’s vets to play through again.
As with the formerly standalone seasons, the Seasonal Journey is a free update for the base game on the PC. It does sound like you’ll have to make a new character for every season that’s included, but that’s still a heck of a lot of stuff to do for a game that’s been out for a while.
The Seasonal Journey is the culmination of all the work of past years and all the free updates we’ve added to the game. This new feature makes all seven previously released Seasons available at the same time for everyone (for free of course). You are now able to pick a Season on the character creation screen from the very first fire-centric Season of Inferno to the most recent ones and create a Seasonal character for that particular Season.
The Seasonal Journey, including the yet unreleased PC exclusive Season 6 and 7, is coming soon to consoles as well.NeocoreGames press release
Okay, you ready for a new class? Yes, even though the Seasonal Journey is the last big expansion for the game (kind of), there’s still more in store for Inquisitor – Martyr. Neocore is following up on the recently launched Sorioritas class, which brought players a Sister of Battle to play as, with the Hierophant.
Maybe the biggest class ever to be included in the game, the Hierophant can actually get a squad going, with a team of acolytes.
We are happy to announce that a new class DLC will be available later this year, namely, the Hierophant Class! You will assume the role of an Inquisitor who can call in multiple acolytes to form a squad. Use your faith and authority to inspire your acolytes to carry out the Emperor’s will, manage them like a true leader, and teach the Imperium’s truth to all the heretics in the Caligari sector!NeocoreGames press release
No word just yet on when the PC edition (or console editions) will be getting this new class, though as you can see, he’s expected to arrive some time this year.
