Dune is returning to IMAX’ massive screen this month, and it’ll be packing a sneak peek of the upcoming sequel.
The original, but not that original
Well here’s a nice little surprise for the Dune faithful, as the original film in the new series is coming back to big screens. And when we say “big screens”, we mean the biggest screens possible. The movie will be re-launching in IMAX this very month, for a limited engagement that will include a look at this year’s sequel.
Hailing from director Denis Villeneuve, and starring and all-star cast with Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Oscar Isaac, Dune first debuted in 2021. The epic sci-fi film brought a more faithful version of author Frank Herbert’s dark and gritty universe to life, with the promise of more to come.
That sequel, Dune: Part Two, will land this year on March 1st. But before we get to that, there’s that IMAX Exclusive Fan Even that we mentioned, which will serve up both the original plus a glimpse of what’s on the way for the property.
This is a super-limited engagement though, limited to one showing on January 24th, starting at 7pm (local times). It’s also not every IMAX that will be taking part, so make sure to check out the locations before you get too excited.
