Tropico 6 goes viral with new round of diseased-DLC

A mighty new challenge for El Presidente has just arrived for Tropico 6, and it’s spreading a host of new missions, edicts and more.

Slow the spread

Depending on your level of sanity about what happened a few years ago, this new DLC pack for Kalypso’s Tropico 6 might hit a tad close to home. Fresh out of the labs though, is “Going Viral”, the latest content pack for the real-time strategy/nation builder.

As you’ll see in the launch trailer below, it’s pretty fully featured, loaded with a brand new four-mission campaign, where players will have to ensnare and control four different diseases spreading on their island. As you might imagine, Tropico 6 will allow Presidente’s to be calm and orderly about it, or go completely off the deep end and bring down the boot of government.

Along with the campaign stuff, the pack also serves up nine new buildings, new accessory items (like the plague doctor), and 16 fresh edicts for rulers to brandish.

Join El Presidente, as he delves into the world of pandemics and the chaos of political maneuvering as he aims to conquer or capitalize on four new diseases disrupting the daily life of loyal Tropicans. The Going Viral DLC introduces the new “Panic” mechanic which measures the Tropican’s reactions to these diseases. With this insight into their level of panic, will you raise the alarm to exploit the fear of your citizens or keep the population calm in the face of a potentially deadly threat?

Kalypso press release

Going Viral is available right now for the PC version of Tropico 6, with doses arriving for console editions on October 26th.
