There’s an alien conspiracy to unravel in cyberpunk sequel Flashback 2

A followup to a true classic, Flashback 2 will feature a twisting and turning tale of aliens and high conspiracy.

Two great tastes that go great together

Though it might seem like an obvious mixture, it’s not all that often that you see aliens included in a story with futuristic, cyberpunk themes. That’s just what Flashback 2 is doing however, with the side-scrolling actioner embroiling its hero, Conrad B Hart, in a wholly new plot.

Publisher MIcroids released a story trailer for that very game today, to not only fill in some of the blanks, but also showcase additional in-game action. If you’ve been waiting for a little more light to be shed on the shadowy adventure, make sure you check it out.

In the 22nd century, the United Worlds extends throughout the Solar System, but this tranquillity is threatened by the Morph invasion led by the fearsome General Lazarus. In search of his lifelong friend Ian, Conrad B. Hart dives once again into an action-packed adventure full of twists, turns and revelations with the help of his allies and AI-powered weapon A.I.S.H.A.

Microids press release

As you can see there, Flashback 2 will feature comic book-like story segments to go along with it’s sharp visuals, and what continues to look like solid side-scrolling action. Also don’t forget that this new game is from Flashback’s originator, Paul Cuisset, so if authenticity is what you’re hunting for, Flashback 2 should have plenty.

Watch for Conrad to return at long last, when Flashback 2 hits digital storefronts for Xbox and PlayStation platforms, the Switch, and the PC on November 16th. Physical retail editions are on the way as well, for the console editions that is, but those won’t arrive til some time in 2024.
