With a trio of tales, Udon’s Street Fighter 6 Evolution Special #1 arrives in November

Sammy and Dee Jay are joined by Street Fighter newcomers Luke, Jamie, Rashid, and A.K.I. for some fresh stories from Udon.

Beat ’em up guy

Capcom’s latest in the long-running series, Street Fighter 6 saw release on consoles and PC in June, but the hype train isn’t slowing down any time soon. With a full post-launch season of downloadable content planned out and a series of comics from Udon, it’s going to be all-SF6, all the time for a while yet.

This week brings word of even more comic books too, as Udon has revealed more details about Street Fighter 6 Evolution Special #1. A one-shot, the Evolution Special was first announced at fighting game celebration EVO. It’s set to bring some old favorites and newly arrived World Warriors into a three pack of stories, all taking place in the Street Fighter 6 era.

Here’s a short (unlettered) preview:

Featuring three all-new short stories starring the World Warriors Rashid, Cammy, Dee Jay, Luke, Jamie… and the debut of an all-new Street Fighter 6 character…. the deadly A.K.I.! A titanic trio of artists have teamed up for this book, including Hanzo Steinbech, Tovio Rogers, and Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz, with a special appearance on cover A by none other than Genzoman! Featuring story concepts by Capcom’s Takayuki Nakayama (Street Fighter 6 Director!)and UDON’s Matt Moylan, this one-shot is not to be missed!

Variants, plus some very limited

Including all of the above action plus a bunch more, Street Fighter 6 Evolution Special #1 hits stands on November 15th, 2023. When it arrives, it’ll be with a full cadre of variant covers too, including all that you see in the gallery below.

Just a few notes there too, because while pre-orders are open now for all, only covers A-D will be found in comics shops. The two A.K.I./Cammy editions will be exclusive to Udon’s online shop, and the “swimsuit version” will be super-limited, with only 250 copies seeing print worldwide.

So if you want one of those, you might want to shimmy on over to Udon’s shop and grab a copy while you still can.
