The newest Destiny 2 expansion getting a full reveal tomorrow

Tomorrow is a big day for fans of Bungie’s Destiny 2, as the multiplayer FPS is getting a special presser loaded up with info.

It’s (still) your Destiny

First released way back in 2017, Bungie’s Destiny 2 is still going pretty strong. The online first-person shooter remains a fan-favorite even today, and continues to enjoy a steady calendar of expansions and fresh additions. Kind of crazy for a game that has six years in the can. It’s a pattern that’s not seemingly going to stop any time soon either, as the developer will reveal yet another new addition tomorrow with The Final Shape.

But an expansion isn’t all that fans can expect, as there will also be coverage of Season 22 for Destiny 2, plus “the next reprised raid”, and more. To get fans ready for the show, Bungie has produced a little video that covers the title’s massive story to this point.

Just a warning though, there are ‘reactions’.

The event will air in three parts tomorrow, August 22nd, with the bulk of the showcase and both a pre and post event. The pre-show starts at 8am pacific time, with what Bungie is calling “the main showcase” kicking off at 9am.

While it’s a little unclear what the pre-show will entail, the post will be “a roundtable discussion” that’ll tease even more for Destiny 2. Fans can expect to see hints at what the year 2024 will bring for the game, which will apparently still be going strong.

You might want to check it out via Twitch too, as there’ll be some Twitch drops rolling. Those will grant viewers of the showcase “an exclusive emblem”. All you have to do to get one is watch at least 30mins of the program. And let’s be honest, if you’re a Destiny fan, you’re going to watch a heck of a lot more than that.
