Hasbro had a very typical Comic Con at SDCC 2023. That’s to say it was fantastic, with piles of fresh figures, and some big surprises.

Marvel Legends, arguably the greatest superhero action figure line of all time, just keeps getting better. At this point, Hasbro has a series that encompasses comic book (both classic and modern), animated, feature film, and even video game versions of its features heroes and villains. It plays very nicely to both fans who love the modern Marvel age, and all that entails, and those who prefer the iconic titles and storylines of days gone by. Quite a feat honestly.
With all that in mind too, there’s obviously a metric ton of product that sees release ever calendar year. And a hub for fresh announcements is pretty much always comic con’s. Last weekend’s SDCC was no different in that respect, seeing Hasbro load up with reveals that covered pretty much all of the above.
One of the coolest new additions was the announcement of an X-Men ’97 sub-line, tailored to mimic the upcoming Disney+ rebirth of the 90s cartoon show. You can find our coverage of that here, with images of the first wave (6 figures) and a 4″ scale multi-pack that will be exclusive to Target stores.
But as mentioned, there’s a heck of a lot more than X-Men on the way. So let’s dig in, and kick things off with a product that hails from another animated show, a double-pack straight out of the 90s version of Spider-Man, that includes both Peter Parker and (for the first time in Legends) Alistair Smythe.

Decidedly not from a cartoon of any kind (that we know of) is another upcoming 2-pack that’ll feature everybody’s favorite merc, along with an agent of Hydra. The hapless Bob is included here for the first time, along with his ‘buddy’ Wade. Also included: a boatload of accessories.

While that’s it for the two-packs, there’s plenty more Marvel stuff in route, and that includes a new dancing Groot, pulled right from the Disney+ cartoon series I am Groot.

The Nameless One B-a-F wave
While Groot and the 2-packs you see above are standalone items, there was also a brand new build-a-figure wave revealed. This one is almost completely focused on modern Marvel Comics and stories therein (with a few notable exceptions), and features a number of big names.
Daredevil is among those, with Blade, a Fist Ninja, Clea, “Midnight Suns” Iron Man, Lady Bullseye, and what’s basically a must-have for legacy fans with Luke Cage himself, Power Man. As usual with B-a-F’s, each figure includes a part to build a Mindless One. That’s kind of a deep cut, so if you don’t know what a “Mindless One” is, it’s a creature from the Dark Dimension.
True to their name, the Mindless Ones are basically savage rock-monsters, tearing their way through anyone and anything in their path. They’ve been seen in Marvel’s past mainly, though they’ve popped up a few times in the modern age as well. Usually they’re in the employ of villains like Dormammu and even Doctor Doom, though they’re never truly controllable.
Hopefully , the Mindless One pops up again in a solo release at some point too, because they’d make for some awesome army-builders. Fingers crossed there. But either way, this is a terrific looking B-a-F, include with the wave that you see below.
