Retro-JRPG Sea of Stars landing on PS+ day and date with retail launch

PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for a retro-treat with the hugely anticipated JRPG Sea of Stars. It’ll be on the service at launch.

It’s even fuller of Stars

If you’re a classically-styled JRPG fan and you don’t know Sea of Stars, get yourself acquainted. The upcoming title from The Messenger’s Sabotage Studio is looking spectacular, and is the latest role-player to harken back to the glory days of the genre, while keeping a modern flair.

Like what you see? Well the full retail release is coming up fast, with an August launch planned, and now we know that will include PlayStation Plus. Sabotage Studio confirmed that today, which makes the game a day and date addition to Sony’s subscription service.

The title was already slated for Game Pass, so whichever of those services you subscribe to, you’ll be able to get a little (or actually, ‘a lot of’) time in with Sea of Stars. Naturally, the game will also be coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S to buy, along with the Nintendo Switch and PC (with Game Pass there too).

Look for it on all of the above, beginning on August 29th.
