Time to go for the straps in AEW Fight Forever’s tag team mode

Coming up fast, AEW Fight Forever is still detailing many of its modes and features. The latest to get a trailer is the title’s tag team competition.

Look at the carnage in the ring!

Tag team battles are nothing new in the realm of video game wrestling of course, though they’re going to get an apparent emphasis in THQ Nordic and Yukes’ AEW Fight Forever. The first game from the still relatively young promotion, Fight Forever has a fresh trailer that showcases tag teams, and hints at how they’ll work in the final version.

From the looks of it, double-team maneuvers will figure in, in a pretty big way. There are some brutal looking ones too, if this new peek at the title is anything to go by. It includes teams like The Young Bucks, Best Friends, and The Lucha Bros all pulling off some devastating stuff.

Scheduled for release across console and PC on Thursday, June 29, AEW: Fight Forever is already being recognized for its retro approach to design, which includes hand-crafted animations and a nostalgic arcade feel. AEW: Fight Forever presents fans with their first chance to pull off wrestling moves only seen on the wildly popular AEW programming. Online co-op wrestling is going completely next level with Tag-Team matches that feature sequences of team maneuvers performed with simple commands. Game modes including Ladder Match, Exploding Barbed Wire and Casino Battle Royale, along with a stacked roster of popular AEW wrestlers, career mode, wrestler customization, signature AEW arenas, multiple match types and some good ol’ fashioned unsanctioned fun await.

THQ Nordic press release

AEW Fight Forever is set to hit for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as the PC.
