Dark Horse bundles up another arc of Star Wars: The High Republic action

Dark Horse Comics’ Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures rolls on, with another graphic novel that packed in issues 5-8 of the monthly title.

Trade federation

It’s still so nice to see Dark Horse publishing Star Wars books again. After the license moved to Marvel Comics, that didn’t seem too likely, and yet (as the meme says) here we are. The publisher is rolling with plenty of content too, and that includes the pre-prequel era that is The High Republic.

A semi-initiative from the brand, The High Republic seemed like it was going to be more than its shook out to be. But besides being a little slimmer, the setting is still getting plenty of love, and that includes The High Republic Adventures.

Though the book is running now, Dark Horse is also kicking off a paperback trade series , that’ll bind story arcs from the title together. And as today’s news features, volume 2 of that will be inbound to kick off 2024.

Issues #5 through 8 will be included in that, picking up The Battle of Jedah which closes out “Phase II” of the tale.

As the Jedi Order desperately tries to end the conflict that rages through the streets of the Holy City, Padawan Sav Malagán struggles to maintain her secret identity as she tries to free Captain Maz Kanata from the clutches of the Dank Graks. While Arkik Von’s dark plan plays out, Sav will have to make the most difficult decision of her young life: duty to the Force, or loyalty to her friends?

Dark Horse Comics press release

In all, the volume will run 96 pages, and of course will be softcover in format. You’ll be able to find Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Vol.2 in bookstores on February 6th, 2024, and in comics shops the next day (February 7th).
