Trailer: Teslagrad 2 stealth-launches along with a remaster of the original

Here’s a nice surprise for Teslagrad fans, as the long-awaited sequel is out right now, and has brought a remaster of the original game with it.

Double the Tesla, double the fun

If you missed out on Nintendo’s latest Indie World Showcase, then you missed a heck of a lot. And that bundle of news included the surprise launch of Teslagrad 2. Modus Games and Rain Games’ sequel has been a long time in the works, following up on the original, released a decade ago.

Loaded up with a new hero, as well as a new quest for her to embark upon Teslagrad 2 features fresh powers to wield and puzzles to solve. Here’s the launch trailer in all its glory:

A grand, surreal journey of a stranded airship pilot faced with deadly encounters of the creatures prowling a forgotten land, Teslagrad 2 builds a remarkable tale around the incredible power of Teslamancy. Protagonist Lumina’s only chance to return home and reunite with her family is to brave the unknown, traversing a mystifying world and clearing its most complex trials with the help of her evolving electromagnetic abilities.

But wait, there’s more

That’s right, along with the sequel dropping, Modus has also both revealed and launched a remaster of the 2 million unit selling original Teslagrad. How’s that for unexpected?

Ads you can see there, the original ‘Grad has remade visuals, more in line with the new entry in the series. On top of that though, Rain Games has added in new “additions and refinements” to make the now well-worn adventure feel new. To that end too, fans can expect “10 all-new challenges” as well.

Both games are available, for both consoles and the PC, right now.
