A checklist, a trailer, and lots of details, here’s the latest on Carnage Reigns

Marvel Comics’ Summer of Symbiotes is about to put Miles Morales’ webbed alter ego in the sights of one very angry (and extra-deadly) Carnage.

Seeing red again

If you’ve been following along with the developments on the Summer of Symbiotes, then you know that the summer of ’23 is going to be loaded with alien symbiotic action. And of course that includes Carnage.

A marquee villain in the Marvel Universe at this point, the super-powered serial killer called Cletus Kasady is back once again, and he’s targeting a new Spider-Man. Well, maybe not new-new, but you get the drift as Carnage has never been a ‘Miles Morales’ villain.

With that in mind too, it’s probably obvious that Miles is seriously in over his head in this fight. As is Red Goblin… and maybe Iron Man too.

“Carnage Reigns is an old-fashioned David and Goliath story pitting a greener Spider-Man against the most sadistic monster in the Marvel Universe—Cletus Kasady!” Paknadel explained to Bloody Disgusting. “Miles has only been this out of his depth on a handful of occasions, which is a gift from a storytelling perspective. I’ve really enjoyed crafting this tale with Cody Ziglar, and we’ve developed a really fun, really productive working shorthand and that fun is present on the page! We know this story will satisfy fans of both characters in their FIRST-EVER CROSSOVER!”

Carnage Reigns Alpha #1 kicks off the bloodshed next month, on May 3rd. the story will roll on from there, though June 28th. Scroll down for your checklist.
