WW2 Rebuilder brings Europe back from the war today on Early Access

Hitting Early Access, Magnetic Games’ new title does the opposite of what most WWII-themed games do. Namely, it rebuilds the European theater.

Back from the brink

Think about it for a second, how many games actually let players rebuild from a war? None? Might be the case… well, it might’ve been the case until today anyway. And that’s thanks to Magnetic Games’ WW2 Rebuilder.

The Polish developer has created a title that places players in the role of someone looking to bring Europe’s war-shattered cities back to life. Instead of launching artillery volleys and calling for air-support, players will be going full steam ahead on rebuilding some of the biggest cities of the Old World.

Here’s a look:

Players can discover the history behind ruins. Pick up a hummer or a trowel, drive in a bulldozer, clean up the area and design the new look of a place by placing different decorations. Get ready for a perfect mix of a history and a building simulator. See the stories of civilians and people of different nationalities after war.

Magnetic Games press release

The full release of WW2 Rebuilder, out today on Steam, will be loaded with maps based on Great Britain, France, and West Germany. Each country has its own character to play as, and there’s a lot more coming post-launch. According to Madnetic, WW2 Rebuilder will see additions for at least the next six months, with possible updates stretching for a full year, til the full retail release.

Again though, there’s quite a bit to do already, with a total of 10 maps in place, including a “sandbox”. There you can build your own early-20th century town from scratch.
