Journey back to Valhalla with Dark Horse’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed deluxe offering

One of the biggest and deepest Assassin’s Creed games, not to mention latest, Valhalla is getting a full exploration in Dark Horse’s newest tome.

Across the Bifrost

First released in 2020, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was meant to have some serious legs. And it’s had every bit of that, with the game still seeing support from the publisher, and the only new games under the banner still a ways off.

As the current flagship, and with that kind of history, you might imagine that there’s quite a bit of lore to the game’s world at this point. If you did, then you’re in good company as Dark Horse does too.

And to that end, the company is prepping a full-on deluxe edition of The World of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Journey to the North—Logs and Files of a Hidden One. Yes, that’s a pretty dang long title, and the book should match it with over 200 pages, and lots of extras.

Discover the history and culture of the Raven Clan Vikings as they struggle against the Order of the Ancients. Get an in-depth view at the setting of the game with descriptions and depictions of in-game characters and locals as the Vikings move from Norway to England, Ireland, and Francia. What best-kept secrets will you uncover at Hytham’s side?

Dark Horse Comics press release

The World of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Journey to the North—Logs and Files of a Hidden One Deluxe Edition will be presented in hardcover. And along with the book itself, fans can expect “a leather-like protective slipcase, a matching folio containing two gallery-quality prints, and an exclusive cover appointed with realistic Viking decoration.”

Check it out when it lands in bookstores on March 14th, 2023, and in comics shops the next day, on the 15th. Pre-orders are open right now, with a retail price of $99 USD.
