The remastered versions of Telltale’s Sam & Max titles are heading to PlayStation

Available now for the Switch, Xbox, and PC, Skunkape Games’ remasters of both of Telltale Games’ Sam & Max titles are now inbound for PlayStation.

That doesn’t stink

Familiar with Skunkape Games? If you’re a Sam & Max fan, you should be. The indie studio is made up of former Telltale staffers, who worked on that studio’s adventure games starring the toony duo. And basically, they’ve formed to save the games and port ’em to additional platforms.

And that’s just what we have here today, with both Sam & Max: Save the World and Beyond Time and Space making the long-awaited leap to PlayStation consoles. Not that these are ‘just’ ports of last(last)gen titles, as both games have received the ‘remaster’ treatment, and are back in style.

In Sam & Max Save the World, a mind-control scheme involving washed-up child stars spirals to encompass the media, the mafia, the United States government, and the internet — building up to an out-of-this-world finale.

Meanwhile, Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space pits our heroes against Santa Claus, the Bermuda Triangle, an emo vampire, a time-traveling trio, and Satan himself — but you’ll never guess who’s *really* calling the shots.

Skunkape Games press release

Stay tuned true dog and rabbit believers, Sam & Max are heading to the PS4 and PS5 on September 29th, 2022. Can’t wait? Well remember that both games are out right now for the Switch, PC, and Xbox consoles.
