Quarto’s upcoming hardcover preps an all-around look at Marvel’s Spider-Man

Landing this fall, MARVEL Spider-Man: A History and Celebration of the Web-Slinger, Decade by Decade slings a web of interviews, images, and more.

Spider-Blood, Spider-Blood

Spidey fans will definitely want to check out what sounds like one of the coolest books based on the wall-crawler in a long time. From Quarto, MARVEL Spider-Man: A History and Celebration of the Web-Slinger, Decade by Decade not only has an incredibly long title, but goes incredibly deep on its subject. And of course, that’s one Peter Parker.

While the comics are a big part of this book, they’ll be joined by what sounds like a little of everything. That includes looks at Spider-Man toys, games, TV shows, and movies.

Since swinging onto the scene in 1961, in the pages of Amazing Fantasy #15 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, the world’s most famous wall-crawler has captivated the world, starring in millions of comics, over twenty different films and animated series, numerous blockbuster video games, and one Broadway show, as well as appearances in countless other mediums.

Quarto press release

Along with all the additional, MARVEL Spider-Man: A History and Celebration of the Web-Slinger does sound like it makes comics the main star. The book will include highlights of the biggest moments from the character’s on-page history, as well as special “remember when” moments. Quarto highlights the unfortunate Spider-Mobile as an example of those.

From Quarto’s becker&mayer! books imprint, and from Matthew K. Manning, Robert Greenberger, and Peter A. David, this loaded tome is scheduled to land on store shelves this October 11th.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
