Gentle Giant debuts a devil of a Star Wars bust in time for Halloween

Star Wars is getting in on the Halloween fun, with a new bust debut from Gentle Giant. As the series’ aliens go, this one’s very fitting for the season.

He’s a shifty one

As the press release from Diamond Select and Gentle Giant points out, you don’t normally associate Star Wars with horror. And while that might be true, there are a few aliens in the saga that more or less do fit the mold. One of those is absolutely Labria.

A twin-horned Devaronian, Labria is a creature straight from the famed cantina scene from the very first Star Wars movie. While I don’t know a heads of a lot about the character, I think it’s probably pretty safe to say he’s up to no good. He is in the hive of scum and villainy after all.

An expatriate from the jungle planet of Devaron, Kardue’sai’Malloc (a.k.a. Labria) was one of the diverse clientele at the cantina in Mos Eisley. Now he’s the latest 1/6 scale mini-bust from Gentle Giant Ltd! This website exclusive depicts the devil-horned customer in his cape, blaster raised, and stands approximately 6 inches tall. Limited to only 500 pieces, it comes packaged in a full-color box with a hand-numbered certificate of authenticity. Designed by the Silva Bros., sculpted by the talented artisans at Gentle Giant Ltd.!

Labria follows up on the launch of last year’s Gentle Giant Halloween announcement of Lak Sivrak. But even though he’s been announced, he’s not quite out yet.

The piece, which is priced in at $120 USD, is set for release in quarter 2 of 2022.
