NYCC 21: Sideshow shines with Marvel, MOTU, and more

While they’re not technically at NYCC this year, it’s a big “Sideshow NY Con” for Sideshow Toys nonetheless. Check some shots from their custom space.

That’s a whole lotta Marvel

Say the name “Hot Toys” and one thing has to come to mind above everything else. Of course I’m talking about Marvel movie figures. The company has made a history of crafting some of the very best and most authentic replicas of Marvel Comics’ big screen adaptations. Not that they haven’t done plenty of other figures as well, but that’s definitely what pops into my head when I hear the name. And, in turn, I automatically think of Hot Toys when I see something about Sideshow.

Sideshow is the toy company’s retailing partner here in the States, if you don’t know. And my mental association is very much relevant to this particular story, as there was a ton of Marvel Comics-related stuff that the companies just showed yesterday.

That includes figures from Venom 2, Shang Chi, What If…?, and lots and lots more. I’m not just talking about Hot Toys stuff either, as there were a few states on hand from Pop Culture Shock.

The best of the rest

While Marvel Comics might have dominated the booth, there was a lot more to peek at as well. That includes a healthy dose of Masters of the Universe, as Tweeterhead finally showed off more of its Masters lineup of statues.

Pop Culture Shock was also present here, with Aliens, Transformers, Final Fight, and more. Check out the full list of highlights in the gallery below.
