Fly like a Hawk in the new launch trailer for Activision’s incredible looking remake of the original 2 Pro Skater games. The bundle arrives September 4th.
Back in action
The games that started a genre, there are few skateboarding games that are held in the same regard as the first series of Tony Hawk titles. The Pro Skater games hit the nail on the head when it came to actual, real-world skating, but also fun. They were over-the-top in the best ways, and loaded with cool stuff to do.
And that’s all about to make what looks like a glorious return as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 arrive for the current generation of platforms. Not a mere re-release, this new issuance bundles the first two games together, and completely remakes both.
The results are pretty impressive looking. If you were a fan, it’s tough not to get pumped to play this one.
As you’ll notice there, there are some new inclusions outside of the graphics. For one thing, THPS1+2 gives you some modern pros on the roster, who weren’t in the original games. Then there’s the multiplayer online, and there are even some tricks that’ve been added in, from subsequent THPS’. So even if you played the originals to death, you’ll find some new stuff in here that wasn’t in those.
Ready to play? The launch is right around the corner, as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 lands on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC (via Epic) on September 4th.
