Three more fighters revealed for Mortal Kombat 11

NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat 11 got three more kombatants this week, revealed in a trailer that sees the old clash with the new.

Fight!

What happens when klassic Mortal Kombat fighters meet their younger selves? Mostly, they knock the crap out of each other. Though sometimes, mainly in the case of Johnny Cage, they form a team that loosely resembles an 80s buddy cop movie.

And I mean that in the best way possible.

So, did you notice who’s new? Even though we’ve seen them all already in past trailers, we got a trio of all-time MK greats confirmed for the 11th game in the set.

Kung Lao, Jax, and the former hero of Mortal Kombat himself Liu Kang all join the battle here in this trailer.

  • Liu Kang, the greatest of the Shaolin monks, was an orphan adopted and trained in the arts of combat by the Shaolin order. He was handpicked by Raiden to be Earthrealm’s Mortal Kombat champion and chief defender.
  • Kung Lao joined the Shaolin monks in a quest to become Earthrealm’s new Mortal Kombat champion. Reckless and rebellious, but courageous and indomitable, Kung Lao fights to prove worthy of his glorious ancestors.
  • Major Jackson “Jax” Briggs was a decorated veteran of the Special Forces whose life changed forever when he fought in the Mortal Kombattournament. His duty was now clear—he would defend Earthrealm against Outworld and the Netherrealm.

Mortal Kombat 11 lands in less than a month, on April 23rd. Expect it for the Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam for the PC.
