Ta-Nehisi Coates welcomes aboard fan-favorite artist Daniel Acuña for a Black Panther story unlike any other!
Okay, that’s insanity. And I also kind of like it. The direction that this book is heading in seems like it’ll take the Panther into some places that he definitely hasn’t been before. As any fan will tell you, inserting a classic hero into a new situation is a solid way of keeping them fresh and interesting. Well, if it works that is.
In this case, I have a feeling it will. The cosmic wing of the Marvel U is a tried and true backdrop for stories after all. So it seems like dropping the Panther (and Wakandan lore) into it could result in something very cool indeed.
Stay tuned folks, Black Panther #1 (with the primary Legacy numbering intact) lands on the racks on May 23rd.
