Check out the five-cover series in store for Phoenix Resurrection

Jean Grey might not be the only Marvel hero returning during Legacy, but she might have the most impact. Check out all five covers for Phoenix Resurrection.

Rising from the ashes

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Jean Grey -and I mean the actual Jean Grey- in the Marvel U. The hero  was killed off, only to be resurrected and apparently permanently bonded to the Phoenix Force. This oddball melding resulted in Grey transcending the physical world. She vanished… till now.

Just how she’ll be returning is still a mystery, but for X-Men fans, it’s a welcome event. Jean is an original X-Man, and now with most of the team back together, and Wolverine back in actor as well, things are pretty awesome in X-land. All we need now is Cyclops back. Though I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one.

Scott Summers aside, Jean’s back in a five part story from Matthew Rosenberg. And though Rosenberg will be penning the tale, there’ll be a different artist on each book, and a series of 3D motion covers by Leinil Yu. So some big stuff is in store for fans this January.

Here’s how it all shakes out:
