SNK Classics have hit GOG.com for the PC

Ready to dive back into some classic Neo Geo titles? A whopping 15 SNK classics are now available for your personal computer.

The King of Fighters

There was nothing quite like SNK’s Neo Geo back in the 90s. Arcade perfection, the console offered home ports that didn’t feel like ports. These carts were loaded with the arcade games, instead of the watered down games that other consoles of the day offered.

Fast forward a few decades and you’ve got a home scene that readily can handle any title, and an arcade arena that -for all intents and purposes- doesn’t exist. And yet still, Neo Geo retails its magic. Maybe it’s the fact that the console was uber-expensive back int the day, but there’s a mystique about it.

SNK titles are being loaded onto consoles like crazy these days, including a bevy of Nintendo Switch adaptations. And now you can add the PC to that, with a 15 game catalog that’s been added to GOG.com.

Fifteen classics

So what’s available? GOG.com has stocked: Baseball Stars 2, Shock Troopers, the Metal Slug series, The Last Blade, Blazing Star, Fatal Fury Special, King Of The Monsters, Samurai Showdown Ii, Samurai Showdown V Special, and The King Of Fighters 2000 & 2002. All of the above are available on the PC, though some are Mac and Linux compatible as well.

Also worth noting is that you can choose to pick your faves, or grab a ready made pack. There’s a Metal Slug Bundle, an Arcade Games Bundle, and a Fighting Classics Bundle to choose from. Oh, and all of them are on sale right now as well.

All individual games are half price, and all bundles are a monster 75% off the asking. Not too bad at all if you’d like to build up that SNK library. Click here to check ’em out.
