Injustice 2 gameplay revealed

Get a look at DC Comics’ super-people laying the smackdown in NetherRealm’s Injustice 2.

Whoa is there a ton of cool stuff in there, especially if you’re a big DC fan.

First, we get a look at the armor customization system in action with Batman, as about a half-dozen different variations flashed onto him through that same intro cinematic. I imagine that you’ll have quite a few different options as to how you outfit your hero… or villain.

And on that villainous front, both Grodd and Atrocitus look fantastic with their Injustice makeovers. Both the Flash’s nemesis and the Red Lantern leader look pretty close to their comic book incarnations here, which is a little different for Injustice, which seems to re-envision most characters. I particularly like Atrocitus’ entrance, what with his kitty cat Dex-Starr floating next to him and all. Though that raging bull attack was badass too. I can pretty much guarantee he’ll be my first pick when I finally get to play this one.

Then there was Black Manta (playable, I hope?!), and some plain old cool stage-specific stuff like Superman and Batman battling in the clouds, Supergirl getting punched through the moving train, and plenty of Aquaman stuff. Just great all around.

Stay tuned for more reveals on Injustice 2 as we get closer to its 2017 release for the Xbox One and PS4 from NetherRealm and Warner Bros.
