Hitting consoles and the PC early next year, you won’t have to wait too much longer for Dying Light’s massive expansion.
A semi-sequel unto itself, The Following introduces not only a new story and play space, but vehicles to the fast-paced, undead action that the game already does so well. You’ll be driving around in a buggy in the expansion, from the fictional SILAS Motors company, and more than just a means of conveyance, this little guy kind is an embedded part of the gameplay that The Following is built on.
“So since Gamescom 2015, we revealed quite a bit about our upcoming expansion: the vast countryside map, the customizable dirt buggy, a new story and more. What we couldn’t say before though, was the release date. Today we finally know that Dying Light: The Following will launch within the first three months of 2016. This gives us enough time to put in all the content and surprises we have planned for you guys. So keep your eyes peeled for some sneak peeks into what we have in the works for you all. And we promise to share the exact day of release as soon as we get a final decision.”
And yes, that was the release window mentioned in Techland producer Tymon Smektala’s comments. Some time in the first quarter of next year you’ll be returning to the setting of Dying Light, and moving a whole lot faster while you’re there.
Dying Light: The Following will cost you $14.99 USD when it finally hits consoles and the PC, and it is included in the Season Pass – so you won’t have to spend anything else for it if you have that already.
