Destiny’s Taken King expansion launches with new trailer

Ready for more badass, semi-live action Destiny action? Here’s the launch trailer for Destiny: The Taken King, out today.

Pretty much a sequel to the original Destiny release that hit consoles last year, Activision and Bungie’s massive expansion recanters the story of the game and its universe and looks just as slick and action-packed as the base game.

The short that you saw above details what you can expect nicely, and has a pretty great pedigree. Dubbed “Evil’s Most Wanted,” the piece was directed by Joseph Kosinski, who you might know from his work on both Oblivion with Tom Cruise and Tron Legacy, which sadly is more than likely the last Tron film we’ll for some time. In it, you see a team of Guardians as they hunt the evil King Oryx, who’s out for blood in the expansion.

Looking like more of what fans loved from the original release, Destiny: The Taken King is available right now, launching today, for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.
