Divinity: Original Sin makes the leap to consoles with Enhanced Edition

Larian Studios has announced that their excellent turn-based PC RPG Divinity: Original Sin is on the way to the PS4 and Xbox One in an enhance format.

If you’ve been holding out for a console version of one of the best classically styled RPGs in years, then your day has arrived. Larian is partnering with Focus Home Interactive to finally bring the title to both PS4 and Xbox One gamers.

Said Larian CEO Swen Vincke:

“There was a lot of publisher interest for [the console version] but when Focus approached us, the decision was rapidly made. We know each other well, having worked together since 2002, and that means there’s a lot of mutual trust & respect.

Focus’ recent growth as well as the energy and enthusiasm showcased by their team makes me confident they’ll do a great job in publishing the Xbox One & PS4 versions of Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition.”

An isometric role-player, Divinity: Original Sin allows gamers to take control of their own party of adventurers and engage in some turn-based combat and exploration. And thanks to the new local co-op options, you’ll be abel to do that on one TV, via a split-screen presentation.

No release date on this one yet, but expect to see a lot more in the months to come. Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is set to come to the PS4 and Xbox One some time around Holiday, 2015.
