Dark Horse celebrates 4 years in the digital space today

With 4 years in the digital comic book medium under its belt, Dark Horse Comics has a special celebratory ‘thank you’ lined up for fans.

Hard to believe it’s been four years actually. It only seems like yesterday that Dark Horse Comics announced their digital storefront and App. It has been a while though, and there are a ton and a half of comics posted up on the storefront to prove it. And right now, you can get a few for yourself for free. Well, if you’re a subscriber to the e-newsletter anyway.

If you do subscribe to the newsletter, and you have an account for Dark Horse Digital, then you’ll be on the receiving end of a $2.00 USD credit as of today. That credit can be used towards a free comic on the service, or towards the purchase of any graphic novel or bundle deal. And affording what you want will be significantly easier as of today too, as there’s also a special 50% off sale happening right now. And that’s not all either, as subscribers will also be getting a 10% off coupon just for them. Stack that coupon with the sale prices today, and the $2 credit, and you’ve got yourself one heck of a deal.

Oh, and there’s also a chance to win some awesome goodies, also thanks to the Dark Horse Digital anniversary. Four luck users, chosen randomly throughout the upcoming weekend, will be selected to take home an iPad Mini loaded up with Dark Horse comics of their choosing.

To become one of those lucky users, all you need to do is to download a comic -any comic- to your digital library. It can even be one of the 50 free books that are on offer on the service if nothing else catches your eye. Not too shabby at all.
