Break out of jail in The Escapist, set for release February 13

After a rather impressive launch on Steam, the development team of Team17 and Mouldy Toof, The Escapist is getting the full release treatment. Set to come out on the Xbox One and PC this Friday, The Escapist is a game about escaping prison.

This isometric 8-bit themed sandbox game is about living the prison life. Players will start off stuck in prison and use their skills to plot and then execute an escape plan. But life in prison is not easy.

Players will have to work within the confined prison as well as adhere to the strict schedule. By disobeying the rules, players will attract the attention of prison guards. And no one likes prison guards, especially while trying to plot an escape plan.

Wheel and deal with other inmates for supplies. Players can also get jobs while in prison. Steal tools or craft weapons, but be on the lookout for cell shakedowns. Escape from six different prisons, each one harder than its predecessor. Starting with a plush minimal security prison and ending with a POW camp. The Escapist looks to bring some interesting and exciting gameplay to consoles and PCs. Get ready to break out of prison as The Escapist is set for release this Friday.
