Sega and Creative Assembly’s horrific (in a good way) take on the Alien film franchise is officially ‘done’ and on the way to consoles and the PC.
What you see above is the first in a new series of trailers that the team at CA are putting together that’ll lead into the release of the game early next month. Running with the hashtag #HOWWILLYOUSURVIVE?, the series will look at the title creature and all the ways to survive its hunting you… and not survive, as you can see.
From all accounts, Alien: Isolation won’t be one for the faint of heart. This is the cold fear and creeping horror of the original film and not the all-out action of Aliens. As much as I love the second movie (it’s actually my favorite of all of them), I think it’s high time that the main theme of Alien gets its fair share of the spotlight, that being horror of course.
And since the last game that the franchise saw produced didn’t turn out so well, it’s good to see that that’s the case with Alien: Isolation. You’ll be able to see just how real the terror gets, when Alien: Isolation creeps onto consoles and the PC on October 7th.
