Mario Kart 8 comes to NASCAR

Nintendo is going all out with its advertisement of the upcoming Wii U game Mario Kart 8. This time, they’re using NASCAR to get the word out.

NASCAR’s Matt Kenseth will be racing in a Mario Kart 8 themed car at the Nationwide Series History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Alongside Mario Kart 8, Gamestop artwork will be featured on the car as well. The car is pretty neat looking; it even has the slogan “Flippin’ Fun” that Nintendo has been using recently. There’s also a video you can see where the car gets the artwork put on it. There will be plenty of Mario Kart 8 related activities for tomorrow’s event, and they’re available from 9 am to 3 PM Saturday, and 10 am to 6 PM Sunday. People who attend the event can play Mario Kart 8, have their picture taken with Mario and Luigi, and even receive an autographed Matt Kenseth poster. Mario Kart 8 will be available on Wii U for retail and eshop May 30th, 2014.

Well, my name's Christopher Deleanides as you all know and I'm the Nintendo Editor here at BG. I've been playing video games since 1992, and I've been a Nintendo fan the entirety of those years. My love for video games as well as Nintendo hasn't changed, and probably never will. The only thing that comes close is politics, as I'm very deeply involved in both local and international issues.
