Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor marches on Mt.Doom in new trailer

Meet the voice cast of Shadow of Mordor and see Talion’s future, a future where he leads an Orc army on the heart of Sauron’s territory in Mordor. Bet you didn’t see that one coming.

Of course, you probably didn’t see the voice cast scamming either… well, actually you probably could have guessed as it reads like a who’s who of voice actors working in the biz today. Talent includes Troy Baker as Talion (fresh from his excellent turn as Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins), Nolan North (needs no introduction of any kind), Alistair Duncan, Laura Bailey, and Liam O’Brian as none other than Gollum.

Is that a first? I don’t think I’ve seen that Gollum was confirmed for this game previously, and that’s kind of a big story point since it might mean that the ring factors into things in some way- depending on how the story’s timing works out.

It’s also pretty darn cool to see that you can not only take over the minds of one or two Orcs, as we had seen already, but also entire armies simply by making their War Chief your own. That kind of opens up a whole new level of play, one that could have some grand consequences.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor arrives this October for the Xbox One/360, PS4/3, and PC from Warner Bros and Monolith Productions.
