Killer is Dead- Nightmare Edition comes to the PC

Deep Silver will be bringing the SUDA51-helmed game to PC’s everywhere this May.

If you haven’t played Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games’ Killer is Dead on consoles, you play as a character named Mondo Zappa (yes, really) in the near future. Mondo is a contract killer who gets his quarry with a sword and an interchangeable weapon arm. Basically, he goes after wanted criminals around the world and “beyond”. But this is a SUDA51 game and, if you know anything about the famous game director, then you know it’s going to be a weird and wild ride.

Now published by Deep Silver for the PC, Killer is Dead- Nightmare Edition is set to hit the computer soon. Changing things up a little form the first round of releases, the PC version brings with it ‘Nightmare Mode’. Here you’ll find that the game gets way tougher and nay allows you to dispatch foes with Adrenaline Burst, Dodge Burst and Headshot attacks. You also lose the ability to use the Final Judgement finishing moves, which come in handy during the regular difficulty settings.

The Smooth Operator DLC pack is also included here (it unlocks after chapter 3 of the game) and there’s a theater mode where you can watch the game’s cinematics and get “extended background information on characters”. If you haven’t tried it yet, the Nightmare Edition sounds like it’s the definitive way to play SUDA51’s latest.

You can grab it on the PC via download on May 9th for $19.99 USD.
