Star Trek Fest coming to EPIX this Sunday

One massive Star Trek marathon of specials and movies is coming to the EPIX channel, spearheaded by the television premier of Star Trek Into Darkness.

I know what you’re thinking- already?! Yep, Star Trek Into Darkness is making its premier on the channel along with a string of movies and one-shot presentations that no Trek fan will want to miss. Centering on the old school, the marathon will run through four of the original films taking place in the main Star Trek Universe. Those will be supplemented by a few really cool specials including William Shatner’s famous Get a Life documentary and a look at The Next Generation’s Captain Picard before hitting the main event- Star Trek Into Darkness.

One really cool thing about this too is that the presentation of Into Darkness will be joined by a showing of the original time line’s Khan film- Star Trek II. Widely hailed as the best of the original set of films, it should be extra cool to see the new and the old running side-by-side like this. Neat stuff, especially for fans of the series from way back.
