Black Widow #2 (Comics) Preview

Natasha faces a shadowy threat and past mistakes come back to haunt her in the second issue of the all-new Black Widow monthly.

This January, no one escapes their past. Least of all the Black Widow, and today Marvel is pleased to present your first look at BLACK WIDOW #2. From the blockbuster creative team of Nathan Edmondson and Phil Noto – cool and calculating, the Black Widow executes her missions with laser precision. But not every mission goes according to plan. Alone and in the crosshairs, Natasha fights for her life against deadly new foes circling in the shadows. And for the Marvel Universe’s deadliest covert operative – mistakes can be the difference between life and death. And the Black Widow is about to learn just how costly her mistakes can be. The beautiful and lethal new series continues this January in BLACK WIDOW #2!

The covert and stealthy world of espionage is one that’s not often cast into the spotlight in the Marvel U. As a fan of the genre, I’m pretty happy to see it appear in any form- to have it be in the pages of a Black Widow series is just the icing on the cake.

And Natasha’s exploits have gotten off to a rip-roaring start too with threats both old and new emerging from the pen of writer Nathan Edmonson as well as some excellent artwork from Phil Noto. I wasn’t all that familiar with Noto before Black Widow #1 hit and I’m very happy that that’s been rectified as his pencils are excellent and carry the vibe of the Widow’s world beautifully.

Catch Black Widow #2 on the racks this January the 22nd and see just how cool the longtime Avenger’s newest solo comic is.
