New Kirby Triple Deluxe footage

The new Kirby title for 3DS is looking fantastic so far, with a generous amount of new abilities and inventive stage design

Here we see some more exposure of the new beetle ability that makes its debut in Kirby Triple Deluxe. Kirby can be seen impaling his foes with the horn sticking out of his beetle hat. He can also use the beetle power to sprout wings that enable him to fly upwards. Additionally, the bell ability makes an appearance; Kirby dons a hat shaped like a bell, and carries two bells in his hand.He assaults his enemies with the bells, and alternatively uses them to create sound waves that obliterate his foes.

There’s an interesting combo that shows up in the video, where Kirby continuously pummels a waddle dee; he then jumps up and creates two massive shock waves to the left and right of him. He can even use his bell hat as a shield, protecting him from ongoing attacks. The first level displayed in the video has a song familiar to many of you who grew up with Kirby in the early to mid 90s. For the first time ever, Big Forest’s theme makes a return in a Kirby game. The game’s remix of the song is performed quite faithfully, and being a forest stage, the music is perfect for it.
