Zen Pinball 2 rolling onto PS4

Not that you probably had any doubts, but Zen Studios’ awesome Zen Pinball 2 will indeed be making a next generation appearance on PS4.

I guess it pays to have so many great tables out already for the platform, because that’s a very impressive ‘launch’ lineup for the PS4 edition of Zen Pinball 2. Of course, you do get a free table with the download (Sorcerer’s Lair),, but as a very nice little bonus, the developer has announced that if you already have any of the tables on the PS3- they’re free to download on the PS4. That’s Zen’s way of saying ‘thanks’ for your patronage.

“We are able to bring a special selection of Zen Pinball tables from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4. If you own any of these on PS3, we invite you to download them on PS4 at no charge. This is our way of saying thank you to all of the players who have supported Zen Studios on PlayStation platforms over the years,” said Mel Kirk, Zen Studios Vice President of Publishing.

Inclusion of fan-favorite sets like Marvel and Star Wars right off the bat is pretty awesome, but getting them for free if you already have the PS3 versions is even better. In all, the table packs releasing with the game platform are:

  • Star Wars™ Pinball
  • Star Wars™ Pinball: Balance of the Force
  • Marvel Pinball™
  • Marvel Pinball™:Avengers Chronicles
  • Plants vs. Zombies™ Pinball
  • Epic Quest
  • Paranormal
  • Earth Defense

Nice mix of classic tables and newer ones there. Each pack will cost you $9.99 USD if you want all of the tables in the set, or $2.99 individually. Oh, and as far as what’s on tap for 2014? Except to see more in the way of both Marvel and Star Wars, which is music to our ears here at BG. We reviewed the Star Wars: Balance of the Force pack most recently and found it to be just as great as Zen’s previous effort set in a galaxy far, far away. If you’re looking to dive into the game on PS4, that’d be a great way to kick things off.

Keep an eye out, Zen Pinball 2 should be out on the PSn for download onto your PS4 sometime in the next few weeks.
