The Evil Within gameplay trailer creeps out of the TGS

Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami’s newest horror effort, The Evil Within, finally has a gameplay trailer. Hope you haven’t been eating!

Yep, this is one that I’ll be keeping the lights on for. And possibly have a blanket pulled up over my head while I play… possibly.

Bethesda says that The Evil Within is “a game embodying the meaning of pure survival horror”, and I believe ’em. It looks like the best parts of the Resident Evil series before it was converted into a semi-action/adventure game by publisher Capcom. This kind of thing is something that fans of Mikami and RE have been clamoring for for a good long time now.

They won’t have too much time to wait to see what new horrors Mikami has cooking either as The Evil Within is due next year for the Xbox 360/One, PS3/4 and PC.
